IT GRC / CUSTOMER ASSURANCE / POLICY
Making security requirements actionable
Balancing evidence, risk, practical operations, and the questions customers need answered.
THE WORK AT A GLANCE
My current official title is IT GRC Analyst. Security governance and risk work give me an important technical and evidence-based foundation, even as my responsibilities continue to extend into marketing, sales enablement, and internal projects.
Why this
mattered.
Security reviews, compliance obligations, and insurance questionnaires ask organizations to substantiate what they do. Generic assurances do not replace evidence, and a control that exists on paper may not match the operational reality.
The work often involves translating between people who speak in requirements, technical controls, financial risk, and business priorities.
Where I
contributed.
My responsibilities have included risk assessments, cyber-insurance questionnaires, customer security reviews, policy drafting and review, and mapping requirements to the frameworks that matter to the organization's customers.
This work also informs how I think about service positioning and regulatory-context campaigns: the message needs to be accurate, the requirement needs to be understood, and the proposed response needs to be defensible.
What that
involved.
- 01Understand the requirement and its applicability
- 02Gather or evaluate the supporting evidence
- 03Identify gaps between stated expectations and practice
- 04Translate findings into clear, practical recommendations
- 05Avoid promising more than a team can demonstrate or deliver
What I can
stand behind.
- IT GRC Analyst is my current official position.
- Risk, policy, and customer-assurance responsibilities are part of my professional work.
- No customer findings, control evidence, or internal policy documents are disclosed.
Confidential customer, organizational, and security details are deliberately omitted.
05 / WHAT I LEARNED
My work in governance has made me more disciplined about what can be claimed. It doesn't define my entire career, but it makes the rest of my work stronger because evidence and reality matter.
